201 comparisons
Two cities, one chart, different answers.
Rent, visas and flight costs rank cities identically for everybody. The variable that is different for you is the one nobody has been able to check.

In short
No comparison here declares a winner, because there is not one to declare. What two cities differ by before any birth chart is involved, how far apart they are, how far north each sits, how many of the forty lines can physically reach them, is set out on every page below. Which of the two suits you depends on one arrangement of the sky that has never repeated, and the tool works that out in about a minute.
How to actually compare two cities
Three questions in order. The first two have the same answer for everyone; only the third is yours.
1. How far apart are they, in orb?
A planetary line counts as reaching a place within about two great-circle degrees roughly 220 kilometres. Two cities closer together than that will nearly always share a line, so comparing them on that basis tells you very little. Two cities far apart have genuinely independent readings.
2. Can all forty lines even reach both?
Above a certain latitude some bodies never rise or set, so their Ascendant and Descendant lines do not exist there. A city far enough north has fewer lines available to it than one near the equator, not fewer that happened to miss, fewer that can exist. Every comparison page states both cities’ limits.
3. Which of your own lines land on either?
This is the part no page can print. It needs the day, the hour and the town you were born in, and the most common honest answer is that neither city is near anything of yours, which is worth knowing before a move rather than after it.
Every comparison
Each page shows what both places are, and hands the personal half to the tool, because for most readers both cities will be neutral, and that is a real answer.
Questions
Questions people ask
Where the honest answer is unhelpful to us, it is still the one printed.
Which city is better?
Neither, in general. A city has no fixed character, it has a relationship with one particular birth chart, and two people born days apart get different answers for the same place. Any comparison that names a winner without knowing when you were born is ranking something that does not exist.
What can be compared without knowing my birth details?
What each place is. How far apart the two cities are, how far north each sits, how many of the forty planetary lines can physically reach them, how far each one’s clock runs from its own sun. Every comparison page sets those out, because they are the same for every reader and they are the floor the personal half is built on.
How are the pairs chosen?
From the nomad hubs in the shipped gazetteer, each paired with a few near neighbours in the list. The set is deliberately capped rather than being every city against every other one: a considered handful of comparisons is more useful than an unbounded cross-product, and no city appears in hundreds of them.
Can I compare two cities that are not listed?
Yes. The reading resolves any town by name, so you can put in whichever two you are actually weighing. These pages exist for the pairs people search for most often; they are not the limit of what can be read.
